Genoa, a QoL Healthcare Company's Convenient Adherence Packaging
Genoa, a QoL Healthcare Company's Convenient Adherence Packaging is a color-coded multi-medication adherence packaging system that we developed in 2008, specifically for individuals living with severe and persistent mental illness. Today you may notice that several other companies have adopted our system, which shows that our innovative thinking has truly paved the way for pharmacies striving to increase medication adherence.
Genoa's Convenient Adherence Packaging is perforated which makes it easy to use while people are on-the-go at vocational and social activities. One pack contains a seven day supply of medications, and each bubble provides:
- Consumer's name
- Date and day of week medication should be taken
- List of medications in each bubble
- Color coordination for time of day to be taken
- Easier to open – peel back instead of push through; no foil backs
- A larger blister, especially in the morning
- Perforated and portable
- Free to consumers of Genoa
- Detailed with a medication listing at the top of each card, including:
- Directions from prescriber
- Description of drug shape/color/imprint
- Number of pills in each bubble

Genoa's Other Packaging Options
Depending on specific consumer needs, programs, residential settings, and preference, Genoa can customize the dispensing on an individual basis. We also offer common packaging options such as vials, strip and pouch packaging, bingo cards, and multi-med packs.
Genoa provides traditional vial packaging for more independent consumers.
The multi-med punch card is ideal for consumers who take multiple medications each day. The multi-med pack has large blisters and is available in a one-week or one-month format. There are many different versions of the multi-med packaging available to residential homes.
Genoa’s automated packaging system provides all medications for each med pass in an easy-to-open cellophane pack. Each pack is labeled with the individual's name, medications, time medications are to be taken and the medication expiration date. The packaging is durable and mobile and is available in select areas.
Single Dose Card
The unit dose punch card generally holds one medication in each blister. The blister is large enough for any medication. Each card is labeled with clear indications of when each dose is to be taken. There are different versions of the unit dose card available.
